POET-Teacher program – Flatbush

Welcome to the POET-Teacher course!

The POET-Teacher program is delivered through an online course that combines independent study of certain course materials (asynchronous learning) with group sessions conducted online in real time (synchronous learning).

How can you make the most of this course?

1. Read the course’s syllabus: check zoom sessions’ dates, and the dates of the asynchronous work
2. Asynchronous work dates: write them down in advance, plan when to watch the videoes and to do the assignments. The contents are available at any time that is convenient for you!
3. For each synchronous Zoom meeting:

• • Print the presentations handsout and any accompanying forms, with three or six slides per page, of your choice
  • Check that your camera and microphone are working well, and if necessary, make sure you have headphones.
  • Mind to have a quiet environment, and a good internet connection
